Drayton Manor revealed to us on a visit on 20/02/19 that they have entered into a Spider Monkey breeding programme to increase their numbers from 5 to 15. They have recently began to undertake renovation on the Spider Monkey enclosures, with repairs being done to existing enclosures and new frames being added within others, work continued on this on 03/04/19 by an in-house team, the work is certainly looking fabulous!

Compared to my prior post, it is evident that work is well under way on the Spider Monkey enclosure! These are looking great and the park are doing a great job with these. We look forward to seeing the park reap the rewards of this renovation and breeding programme.

Looking at the video posted online to Drayton Manor's social media, it showed a picture taken from the back of the Spider Monkey house next to the river, the water levels were near the top of the fence, I hope this has not caused much damage to these relatively newly refurbished enclosures.
