The Jungle Palladium

I'm not sure how popular this ride was, but I do know that I found a really rare tape of the entire audio of the ride on YouTube, and that Sheriff Showdown bow resides in the building where it once sat. Let me know about your memories of this old attraction below.

Its definitely a little chaotic to say the least.
Didn't experience it - but feel like its more chaotic without the actual visuals.

The end song is quite catchy though :D

The only footage I seen was from 2022
During the Auction 3 years ago I was talking to the guy who owns that you tube channel and he was gonna do a video with the team at Golding leisure/ space leisure and there History at Drayton Manor.
I’m lucky I’m old enough to remember this show and I think with Rory been the park Mascot again he was featured in this show and on the re-themed jungle cruise.

I went to Crealy theme park last year and wonder if these 2 figures were inside the Jungle palladium

It’s quite sad that most visitors to the park now never got to experience the Jungle Palladium or its 2 other spin off shows.
It really is, i'm beyond desperate to see video of any of these iterations as I am a diehard fan of the company behind them, I am currently in the early stages of making a mini-documentary on the show they did for Sundown around the same time as they did the Jungle Palladium

Everyone talks about Sparks, Tussauds, John Wardley and Farmer, but Golding and Space Leisure is sadly rarely brought up. They made and help make so many iconic attractions. From Geisterschloss at Europa, Pirate Adventure (still miss it), El Paso, Around the world in 80 days, The Haunting, and The Jungle Palladium/Golden Nuggets. If you love Golding/Space Leisure stuff, I highly recommend visiting Watermouth Castle in Devon. They have quite a few stuff from Sparks, including Golding animatronics from the Jungle Palladiums sister show, the Africa Tiki show. They still work too and are based in their water ride.

As a whole, Golding/Space Leisure were (personally) the quintessential 'british' ride designers. Everything they made just screamed that british quirk and charm that's becoming ever so rarer to come across nowadays in UK Theme Parks.

Indeed, sadly they took out Honkey the monkey (guitar one) this year as part of the river ride's redo, i'm uncertain on if he's in storage or was destroyed

There is also the bears from the American Adventure, they are at Gulliver's Kingdom nowadays (arguably one of the more talked about bear bands by golding)

The Sundown band I mentioned is "The Great Crazy Critter Bonanza" 4/5 of the original animatronic characters are still on display in the ice cream shop right next to their old building!

By far one of my favourite Golding Leisure shows due to how much time I have (and still am) devoted to finding details on this show!

Some great images there, thank you for sharing !
Golding were great at doing animatronic band shows. They used human music bands a number of times too for certain ride scenes rather than as complete shows (in the finale sections of Los Piratas and El Paso, but with similar motions and movements to the animals in Jungle Palladium)

Hopefully we can get an update on the guitar player at Watermouth castle soon...
