Pirate Adventure

I do think it will be a 2 year plan with Pirate adventure been for the 2027 season.
I think they tested out the ride system and powered it up so can see the building frontage all been removed during the closed season.
Can see that the wood inside been used to block off the entrance area

I hope it does return it's the ride type thst fits Drayton Target Market perfectly

Without going off topic it all depends how much on loans the looping group have on:

Adventure Cove
The new Wave swinger
The refurb of Splash Canyon
The other rides and buildings

Vikings
Now remember this was a field so a lot of ground work needed doing with 3 new flat rides and a re-themed coaster and then path ways

Thomas land
The mini flume wouldn’t have been to much but was themed and you also had the relocation of the Thomas exhibition.

Frontier Falls/other projects
The Terence ride moved back to Thomas land
Shockwave becoming the wave with new trains, signage and queue line repaint
Frontier Falls area opens with the Gold Rush and some of the rides repainted and rethemed.

If we don’t hear about the return of Pirate Adventure within the next 8 weeks I think it’s rebirth is off the cards for next year. As much as I’d love Drayton Manor’s 2026 Season to be defined by the reopening of Pirate Adventure’s reopening I’m starting to fear it won’t happen. If we hear an announcement within the next 8 weeks I’ll certify the rumours of the return of Pirate Adventure next year true. I’m sure many People will prebook tickets to visit Drayton Manor next year if the highly anticipated announcement is made.

Just watched TPWW video of Drayton Manor and again his been going on about work taking place inside the building. Now if there is or isn’t with the agreement his got with the park over construction exclusive updates his had since 2021 he won’t want to upset Victoria or the other managerment talking about a ride/building if it wasn’t the next big project for the park

In a slight deviation from My normal questions regarding Pirate Adventure and the wider Pirate Cove area,I’ll omit My thoughts. Personally I think Pirate Cove will receive an overall retheme like Action Park underwent in 2021 to become Adventure Cove. If this suspicion is correct I think the majority of the refurbished Pirate Cove will open for the start of Drayton Manor’s 2026 Season, with Pirate Adventure reopening a few months later. My estimated timescale is that Pirate Cove would reopen in March 2026 and Pirate Adventure would return in June 2026.

The reason hope for the Pirate Adventure returning next year is still in My Mind is the active work that has taken place in and around the attraction at the end of last Year but mostly this year. Last Year the Boats were sent back to Mack for an overhaul and the start of works was noticed. This Year however the work has been increasingly apparent.

In addition to the reopening of Pirate Adventure I think Pirate Cove could see the addition of a small Kids Ride of the same nature of Sea Dragons at Chessington World Of Adventures and the Tea Cup Ride outlined for Thomas Land in 2020. I believe although the Tea Cup addition didn’t materialise it was purchased. In fact the project was in the early stages of construction when it was cancelled due to an unfortunate Fire in the adjacent Toilets.

If Tea Cups are installed as part of a refresh too the Pirate Cove Area I can foresee them being themed to barrels of Rum. I think a name like Revolving Rum Barrels could be used.

As a sideline I could see a Pirate Shooting Gallery and Remote Control Boats being added to the area. Not only would these additions bulk out the area but they would generate money.

Please feel free to discuss My suspicions, opinions and suggestions.

Personally I think we won’t see much in Pirate Cove until atleast 2027, as we would of seen stuff going on surely, and they would of most likely already started teasing it.

But, I think they may do something like Paultons are doing with Vikings, opening things in phases. I think I could see Fun Foods being removed and food going into the Saloon in Frontier Falls. The river behind the castle be covered up and maybe see a wooden coaster.. All the themed areas have coasters now and I don’t think this will be an exception. For example a timeline like this

2027: Pirate Adventure Return
2028: Wooden Coaster

@DraytonEnthusiast I respect what you’re saying but if I remember correctly the transformation of Action Park into Adventure Cove was announced very late on.

Adventure Cove work started during the 2nd lockdown. Pictures and filming was done from outside the park.
The park announced what was coming in April 2021 and it opened in 3 stages with the 1st been when the park reopened after lockdown, Tidal towers and the Wave swinger opening at the end of July and the River rapids opening mid August.
With Vikings construction started October 2021 and teasers started Jan 2022 with the area opening end of May.
Thomas and Percy Submarine splash started construction Jan 2023 and teasers started during the Feb half term event with the ride opening 29th April.
Gold Rush the teasers went up mid May 2023 with the 100% confirmation it was a coaster and what type at the beginning of August with Frontier falls opening in March and the coaster opened to the public on the 26th July.
So if they plan on a July opening they will more then likely start teasers in January.

If they really would bring Pirate Adventure back...

Please Drayton, reuse the original music and audio in general! A plussed version of the original ride would be a perfect addition to the park. Still familiar, but not a drastic change like Piraten En Batavia.

At the auction they did say they were looking at selling the PA system as it was still in the ride but I’m sure the company who installed the system around the park could be brought in to install a new system and digital the sound track.
I do think it will be a mixture of screens and set pieces.
There got to be lots of pirates still in the ride in storage as at the auction they only sold the signage and broken bits.
