They have changed it to the Tidmouth sheds look

Will the trains move from diesel Hydrolic to electric to not ruin the ilusion as they are ment to be steam locos but theres no smoke and all you hear is a quiet chuffing sound even when train is stationary and you still hear a Diesel engine? they are meant to be steam locos so why cant they change to battery locos and add steam and more realistic audio (Mayby the drainage cocks at the front would release smoke as to mimic steam when its standing in the platform and then the chimney would emit fake smoke as it runs along the track and when pulling out. and at the knapford station all the steam sounds come out of a crate with a speaker on the platform when the platform staff press a green button.

It's just pointless. Kids care about Thomas and percy not how they work.

The engine tours are meant more to be fun for kids rather than an actual railway so I don't think so.

Way too complex. The park may as well buy new engines than refit the current ones, Plus you need the charging infrastructure. That will need a separate phase charger probably for each engine, as well as the increase in difficulty of maintenance, diesel and petrol is just far easier to maintain at the moment. Then there are the batteries, not enough space in the engines to get enough batteries to run it all day easily, and if they were to put them in the coaches, you then have to build undercover storage capacity for them in space that just isn't there. If the line was new build then maybe, but not really practical for a refit.

There really is no point to change it

The train tours appeared to be a night mare for maintenance yesterday. I was surprised that it was operating due to the extreme cold weather as both troublesome trucks and accelerator had been closed for the entire event yesterday. Whilst was was sat with Thomas pulling the train, we noticed it slow dramatically and jolt a couple of times. On the way back from the zoo to Thomas land for the return, the ride operators appeared concerned and was told to drive it very slow. Whilst passing Rosie we noticed the maintenance team switching Rosie on and inspecting it over. Later in the evening Thomas had been replaced by Rosie but we noticed that the crew again was on the floor with headlights looking at Rosie’s under carriage.
