Having never seen it open I just presumed that it was a forgotten exhibit that was just awaiting something else to be done with it.

I did get to pop in on my last visit to the park, pot luck that we happened to be walking past at just after 2.

It is a small box shaped area with a tree in the middle which provides a pathway around it. The actual area inside for guests is probably half that of the internal area for viewing the tigers. This is an advantage and disdvantage, the advantage is that you get to be up close to any free flights that occur, the downside is the capacity of the area and you may feel rushed on if more folks keep coming in behind you.

It was lovely to see the birds on some of the trees together, and also those that were peeking down on you from their nesting boxes / access.

As Themeparksandy says they are being quite cautious with the opening times, whilst I think numebrs may be boosted by some promotion I don't know that that is in the interest of the welfare of the birds or may increase escape risk.
