May be nothing...

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere...and like the title says it may be nothing...

But...

When we dashed to the park yesterday afternoon to see the fire dancing and stuff (not been able to make it down when the parks been open) I noticed out of the corner of my eye that there appeared to be some earthworks going on on some of the fields to the left when you are making your way round to the car park.

I noticed just as I approached the bend before the run up to the mini round about. There were some excavated mounds of earth quite a way back. I've never noticed these before.

Have I just been concentrating on the road before?

As manwithstick mentioned, it is probably just pile of excess dirt from the 2024 site. They have done quite a lot of excavation, and they used that site as a store for the rides for Vikings during construction, so it makes sense to use it again.
