We took a couple of hot dogs and a milkshake from FunFoods into the queue for Goldrush today.
The cardboard pack for the hotdog seemed to align with the new theme promising "boom in every bite" or some such.
The Milkshake did get the little lads seal of approval. There does need to be some thought given to presentation though, the clear cup above was not in evidence today and a traditional paper cup with party type design was used instead. It meant you didn't get to see your milkshake or the layers which seems a bit minor but if you are paying a premium price for a treat you want the treat experience.
Similarly, the cream didn't come out of the cup as in the advert but sat a bit down in the cup. Not quite a "Falling Down" moment but again a little disappointing and unlikely to inspire anyone waiting in the queue who sees it to get one for themselves or their kids.
Service was quite speedy with all the tills in operation so a big thumbs up there.
Yes very nice modern sign better than the old one but need to paint the wood like a white or maybe a blue similar to the old colour to make the sign be a lot more readable same with maelstrom platform but hopefully will be done in due course otherwise it looks a little unfinished. Also could this be partially part of making a central hub for entertainment and maybe making that area with all the shows maybe even a permanent stage.
