[2025 Event] Water Fest

A splashing lido would be very popular and with the climate only seemingly getting warmer it could become increasingly popular every year.

Reading the above one wonders whether the plan for this event was created by the possibility of getting the deck chairs on the cheap and working around that?

U say that but Storm force 10 and the Rapids are open all season but u got to be a minimum of 1.1 and 1.3 to ride. Without a ride ride current at the park for under theses highs then young kids in the area really need a water area while older kids/parents go on the rides nearby.

Waterfest highlights video -

A lot harder to film as I was trying to not film children - the event heavily relies on children interacting in the games and activities, hence the shots are a bit higher/stranger in places.

Also, trying a new camera! :D

I thought the event was ok with 2 actors who usually were Rusty and Dusty as lifeguards.
My Daughter enjoyed it but my son was more interested in trying to get into the padding pools but I did have a change of clothes with me but forgot a towel.

While I was in the area I got to speak to Victoria Lynn for a few minutes and she said that’s the reason why they seeing how popular the event is.
I did explain to her that a Splash Pad area would be a excellent idea for the younger kids as most of the rides in Adventure Cove were aimed at 1.2m+ height range and they said Yes that would be a excellent idea and the person who was standing next to her wrote it down.
I did ask also about the plans for 2026 and they said they got even bigger plans for 2026 and theses will be Announced in the closed season.
I did say it’s such a shame that how nice Adventure Cove, Frontier Falls and Vikings were looking and tapped her nose and said that would be telling.

I think this is very concerning. Rusty and Dusty as lifeguards. They don't know how to use a broom, so how can they be lifeguards. Lol

I have been a bit disappointed by past events and given other plans for the end of August, this event doesn't appeal to me. My wife and daughter did attend and said there were some good aspects. However there was a lot of queue jumping and ops were dire. The deck chairs look good. I think that Adventure cove needs a bit of TLC over the closed season from early season appearances. Given the lack of September events and no announcement of end of season fireworks. We have decided to take a breather from the park. We have attended a lot over the last three years as local passholders. The fact that the park are up charging everything for Christmas and no longer doing a show unless you upcharge.

I would like to see a summer event that utilises the whole park. The events are generally for one area. Perhaps an event if they do a pirate land could be a pirate takeover of the whole park. Social media are not reporting the event in a positive light.

Went today rides not open bounty, loki and blue mountain engines few small ride break downs, Lorys water games Is located by maelstroms queue and wave swingers main queue entrance the roaming team in adventure cove was the normal 2 guys

Also forgot to mention the water guns stayed in splash zone yesterday
Gotta admit, this is going better than I was expecting.
Only time I saw them out of the splash zone was when a kid decided to try and "fight back" during Rory's show - which I can kinda understand as they have waterguns, but that isn't an invitation for the guests to get theirs out as they aren't part of the show.

those 2 guys are hilarious
Love them :D they have such a good energy and are very talented

I love the actor team at drayton manor full of energy and seems that they love there job especially Paul

Popped along on Saturday afternoon. We saw the waterfight advertised and went along to the splash zone. Not much going on apart from the opportunity to spend money on a water gun. Declined.

Continued to try and find a ride worth riding without an hours queue.

Today was our first and probably our only visit to water fest and whilst I’d say there’s more that could be done, that being said my 8 year old had a fantastic time and I was allowed to sit down for a while to relax 🤣. Dave and mark are fantastic with the kids for the water fight, and the water balloons was a fantastic touch. We also thought it was brilliant to see Dave and mark going around in the double cycle spraying people with water guns. Whilst the weather wasn’t the best, the pavement drawing with lory was a big hit.
