2025: General Discussion

Did they open the zoo exit for cars ? I remember before they used to open the exit that drove through the zoo to hello clear the congestion to aid traffic flow when leaving on fireworks night.

Just found out the park is closed on Sunday for a private event. I know it'll be a cash cow for them but it irks that they don't limit stuff like this to weekdays. Obviously this is bit tongue in cheek if its a charity event or the like, but if its just a corporate buy out, not having it!

Any park or attraction can be bought out for a day at any point - if they are willing to pay the price :) It's a business at the end of the day and that's how business works.

Whilst it is unfortunate for guests who may have wished to visit on that day, the park have at least put information out to advise it is closed.
These kinds of buy out events happen at all the parks at any time - though most of the time are unnoticed due to being after the main season
(Alton Towers had one last Sunday and Thorpe has one coming up too )

Well it may be in the interests of all of us in the long run. Individual guest voices can be easily brished aside but if someone is buying out the park and most of the major attractions have significant downtime then there will be more forthright challenges made.

Great to see Pirate Adventure get some international recognition!! If only people knew how good it was back in the 90s.
I don't really like how it was claimed as a knockoff it had its own original identity and was inspired off Pirates of the Carribean.

The facade is completely different boarding procedure with talking Parrot, Drop at the start and different scenes to Pirates of the Carribean

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but the hill park entrance has been repainted with new flowers painted around the area, lots of activity around there on Saturday.

That sounds really good maybe might refresh that entrance for next year as you have the old grill and lots of now unused buildings that could create a better entrance for dropoffs, people walking in and hotel guests.
