Think this is a great way to revitalize the otherwise mediocre Halloween event gets me excited for what they might do in future hopefully it's well executed.
 
Shame it’s only on a week this time as I doubt I will have the time to attend as doing Scarefest on the 26th Oct and Thorpe park on the 1st Nov and staying over.
 
I never went to the Night at the Manor events, was the original Haunted Express part of that? I've noticed it is marketed as 'this family-friendly fright is perfect for little monsters and grown-up ghouls alike – just the right mix of thrills, chills, and Halloween magic' so just wondering if that sounds similar to how it was originally. Just trying to gauge if a 6 and 8 year-old will enjoy it!

It was :) However there were issues last time with a lot of tickets and slots overrunning if I remember. (I personally did not experience this, so cannot comment - @Ciaran - Am I right in thinking you did Haunted express?)

Night at the manor tried to have a bit more of a fright factor (Though not much) but it was returned back to the family friendly focus.
For the most part, the event seems to be similar to last year - you can see some of last year here which may help gauge the interest for your little ones:

I will be at this event on the 27th so will be creating another video - Can't make it sooner due to other committments unfortunately.
I recall last year the "main" festivities were only for the half term week however there were smaller parts occuring on the other weekends (e.g the shows)

Final question, I assume this will be the full park open? Or is it just 'selected' rides as per Christmas?
 
I suspect that there are external factors that may have influenced the park. It has been confirmed that the road will be closed outside the park towards fazeley from 15 September for 4 weeks from 7.30am to 8pm. Times may be reduced to 9 - 3pm which would make the park largely inaccessible from Fazeley so will need to arrive from Belfry/Bassets pole end.

In addition the two fireworks won't have much competition locally. The free fireworks display which attracted 20,000 people to Tamworth Castle Grounds has been cancelled in favour of a smaller event at Statfold which is ticketed at a cost of around £15 per person. I personally think that will make the November 2nd event attractive to people. Although would have made more sense in my view to do the fireworks on the final weekend.

@WK4 It will be largely a full ride offering subject to weather, although some rides and Adventure Cove & Vikings will close earlier.
