[2025 Event] Monsters & Magic

A very rude man today at the event, a very nice man was with his 2 kids and his wife at the fireworks and he was standing there before me. When the water show started man came over and starting shouting at him and told him that he has pushed in and took his spot. And then after swearing at him for 10 minutes then a woman commented telling him to back off because of the kids then he left. Once he left his wife came back with a member of staff, claiming that the nice man was in the wrong.

I have some content from the event to edit but due to sickness and stuff have been delayed. There will be a post-event highlight reel likely by the end of this week

In the meantime, we are in the process of getting the balcony shows / rory shows uploaded and one of the micro water shows too

We paid a visit on Thursday to the event. We did the walk through and I have to applaud the staff who were workign tirelessly on their performances.
Espeically the germanic sounding gentleman in the first scene. He did really feed off any thing which came back from the audience. How they must all feel at the ned of the shift when the performance adrenaline dissapates I dread to think.

There could have been a bit of a administration nightmare with folks just wandering in rather than groups coming around but it was just about ok whilst we were there.

Ride times were interesting everything was pretty much walk on except gold rush which was an hour. They need that second train sorted as it is so impactful on so many guests days.

Have to say though, really enjoyed the day. Was umming and ahhing whether to renew for next year, little lad is loving bigger and more thrilling rides and we were at the cusp of outgrowing the park, but i think we'll have another year.

This was actually a good event. Only upcharges were the train (which wasn't family friendly so didn't do it) and the bucket for the children. This is how they should do events. Great shows and option to upgrade for attractions that are worthwhile. Hope they continue it next year but announce the event earlier and it would allow families to plan better.

I wanted to do the train but it was fully sold out - Hence there is no actual train content in the video...Wasnt able to provide an insight to that one :(

I'd love to see the castle get more of a story telling element or trick or treat doors like Trick Or Treat Town at Alton Towers... and maybe make the bucket a good size comparable to the treats you get from the attraction

We loved the Halloween event, my 6 year old absolutely loved the train, he got to do it on the preview night and last Sunday, and wanted to do it again! A really good addition. They could defiantly do more with a light trail in the zoo, but the rest of it was brilliant, both kids enjoyed it. (8 and 6 y/o).

I loved the fact they opened Dinosaurland for the first time in many years. Would love you see a bit of money spent on it and keep as an alternative attraction. They could have cleared some of the rubbish out. My 8 year old doesn't like things too scary. I would have done the train but scary things are not for my wife or daughter.

I think the zoo attractions looked good, but could be developed further for a relatively low cost. Night to see money being spent here, spoke to a zoo keeper earlier, they were hoping the park has a good year as they would get more investment. This is an area that could do with investment, along with the pirate cove area.

I did a walk through the zoo on the final night and it was quite something! I didn't plan even doing it - everything else closed earlier than billed, and I still had 2 fast passes! Ho-hum. I'm sure they're still valid.

The walk around the zoo was erm, quite dark? aka pitch effing black! I was alone (at first) as I got towards the bottom there were several peeps behind me. I had to pull out my torch just to light up the place. It was that dark! We walked down, and was blinded by the lights near the midway point. We finally made it down towards the train. At that point it was a case of train home or walk back. Guess what we all did?

The final train ride of the day was fun.

Oh, I found a Halloween hat on my trip. I'll be handing that back on my next visit. It was just sitting there on a fence. :)

I've been to the Zoo twice since they announced they have a bear..And I still haven't seen it, where is it located in the zoo?

I think the Zoo needs a little TLC, looks a little tired and run down in places...

The Bear is in the old Tiger enclosure, they are Overhauling thr Zoo the red pandas recently got a new enclosure and several have been painted up.

They reopened the Dinosaur Walk-through why don't they reopen the parrot Walk-through and the Garden Centre if I am remembering they used to have

The garden centre part is used for storage, wouldn't be surprised if the parrot walkthrough is in a similar state :)
