[2025 Event] Water Fest

Water fest, could this be the launch of a water coaster, or a new water ride or even the relaunch of pirate adventure.

A water fight would be good. All of this is probably a dream lol

More likely a water pond in adventure cove. Budget restraints means they are praying for typical summer for the pools by storm force to be big enough to put a pound shop duck in it!

The most viable suggestion above is the idea of a waterfight, however I can't imagine all guests would want to get wet... .And the idea of hoping for good british weather is never a good thing to base an event on ^^'

The stage by Accelerator will be used again, that much I reckon is true.

It could be if u go on the 2 water rides in Thomas land and your under 1.1m you can get a price from guest services.
If you over 1.1m you also got to go on the rapids to get the price.
Then you get a super prize if you do both Storm Force and the rapids.

This sounds like bribery to make me do stormforce .-.

details of draytons summer event has Lineup for the event now confirmed

I have heard a few comments that it would be good if the park had a water play park similar to Water Kingdom splash park at Paultons or the splash park at Conkers. I know the UK climate can be unpredictable but would be good for events like this. Not sure about the water guns in the park being a good idea as some people don't like them. Good to see the park getting some new events particularly, although I haven't been to the Manor since May.

I just can't help but think promoting guests to bring water guns is a bad idea... Asking for trouble...
Like, there 100% will be people who use them outside the "Splash zones" and going for people on rides / staff and other people who may not wish to be involved in the water fun... Like. It does not seem like a good idea at all.

I'm also not keen on the "Draytona Beach" name... cant put my finger on why.

Not sure it was a good choice of name, Daytona is speedway racing. Think they were trying a play on words. Keeping open mind about the event, but agree that the water guns is poor choice. The park is getting negative reviews at the minute and if not controlled it will fuel negativity and may have a negative impact on attendance. On positive extended opening hours when most parks are reducing opening hours. Looking to go before our passes expire as unlikely to renew passes in August.

With the amount of complaints / concerns we've seen around antisocial behaviour lately... free-reign water guns sounds inviting for trouble. (I do hope we are wrong about this)
The whole thing is a recipe for disaster. It's one thing getting spalshed in the face from someone you know. Its completely different being the victim of unexpected torrents from other folks you don't know.

If the park just did a quick search of its desired (younger children) and actual demographic (high proportion of accessibility passes in ASD) you have to really question the thought behind this.

Kids do love water fights. They are a staple of cub groups at this time of year, but every one knows everyone else and their triggers and they are organsised by folks who know the folks they have responsilbilty for.

Fingers crossed that it all goes ok. But the thought of screaming kids whilst you are trying to sell water balloons at £3+ a pop isn't a good look. (but I'm guessing there won't be self promoting videos if it does)

Waterfest is an... interesting event.
Trailer style video to come soon!

I don't personally think it works but I did see a lot of children enjoying themselves.

A large delivery of deckchairs courtesy of Oasis are scattered across Adventure Cove providing some nice extra seating (But no Oasis samples or anything past the branding on the chairs)

A splashzone has been set up on the route between WaveSwinger & Air Race, its easily avoidable if you don't wish to be splashed. Waterguns are mostly sticking to this zone however one kid tried to shoot back at Rory during his show on the stage which wasn't good! (Saw the water guns in the show as an invite I assume)
The splash zone has water refills which were being topped up regularly, a shop (somehow that wasn't soaked) where you can buy water guns and all kind of other things, paddling pools, sprinkers and a sandbox to play in.

For us, the best part of this event is the entertainment - the Tiny Circus team are back as a great addition (We love them)
We do however believe that Lory's games should be moved to where the main stage is - they aren't working in Adventure cove due to traffic flow by chicken diner - so they moved to the splash zone, but then theres the risk of getting wet where you may not want to (and lionesses dont like water!)
I'd say move them to the main stage area - it will also spread the event more across the park as the park often feels like it sections events off instead of having them spread across the park.

Dinosaur breakout was the best for including the entire park in an event. More like that would be nice.

There was also new themed food & drink at Chicken shack, fun foods and I want to say Burger kitchen too
The American Dreamshake is also still available

Personally, I think the event needs something - but can't put my finger on what.

In positive - the Fireworks were put on 30 minutes later and it was actually dark enough!

I think this Draytona event should be placed st the back near the Dinosaurs where Terrance and old Exhibit used to be its out of the way and is more controllable there

I think the water splash zone would be good. However the park may not be keen as it will need a constant supply of clean water. This could be costly for the short period that it can be used in nice weather. The splash zone at Paultons is only open from May to mid september. A small ride which would fit in this area that could be used for the main season would be better in my view
