I really hope this is as good as the media opening event for Gold rush with live music, the actors who were in the queue line video and food.

Even fireworks what is the point
Even fireworks what is the point
I have no problem with fireworks and they work well with the soundtrack but not when it’s still light.
The next showing which will be in the dark will be the end of August.
It sets them apart from everywhere else. No one else is bold enough to waste the money. I think the idea is nice but in reality , it’s pointless doing it at this time of year because you can’t see.
But there’s wasting money and guests complaining they can’t see the fireworks as it’s too light.
What they should have done is have the opening day fireworks then had different types of entertainment to end the evening in May to August then have them End of August, September, October and a final special 1 at the last weekend of the season.,

I think you need to apply for the events team
you are right though and it’s disappointing because the park has such huge potential but unfortunately not the right time of year for things like this due to the lack of darkness. Here’s hoping they continue with exploring different type of events , I will admit I am intrigued what the water fest one will be.

Like... A fountain show would work in place of fireworks
Or in the case of Wild West Fest - a big ol cowboy hoe-down with line dancing and all that

Even trick riding with horses could work
Something thats a big finale, but not fireworks. Kinda like the Dino dance off that occured at Dinosaur breakout with all the dinos coming together for a big finale

From my experience, fireworks are keeping people in the park. Some of the entertainment is not well attended. If they do fireworks or events again, then maybe focus on spring and late summer. I would like to see the end of season event brought back as it was before Looping, perhaps moving into drone with lighting and then themed to say the so if they bring pirate adventure with a new pirate area then themed to the characters included. The next fireworks I will attend will be the end of season ones as I am away in August, and if we go this July weekend, then may be inclined to leave early and watch it from home.
Would love to as Elise suggested see more finales and the wild west theme would be good. Would be great if as part of the summer water fest, they had a big party, not just a beach boys tribute. This would be good if they had some punch and judy shows although may be cheesy
