2025: General Discussion

We attended last Saturday for the fireworks and I havent really enjoyed the last few visits due to the behaviour of other visitors...

The Operator of the Bounty, Andy, he was trying to have a bit of fun before operating the ride, telling a few dad jokes, asking the little ones to guess how old the ship was and even (obviously) joking that he was going to see if the ship could go all the way over upside down. The one lady that was on, started screaming and shouting at him that this "wasnt what she wanted" and was demanding to be let off the ride..

Also, on the bounty later that day, The same operater, Andy, asked a group of people to leave the ride. He told me that everytime they were on, they kept getting out their phones and the Indian lady was screaming at him "Why are you being racist?, I am going to report you".

Disgraceful behaviour.

The last few times we've been there seems to be an influx of morons in the park..

few weeks ago, 4 absolute idiots kicking each others chairs whilst Wave Swinger was going around.

last week 2 "ladies" practically lamping one another at the exit of the bounty infront of small kids..

but for me, last Saturday night at the fireworks, I was pretty much shoved to the floor by a lady. I'm stood, completely minding my own business by the benches by the lake facing stormforce 10 and this woman, doesnt say excuse me, just shoves me with force from behind and I just about managed to stop myself from falling onto a lady that was feeding a baby. Absolutely stupid behaviour.

I asked her what she thought she was playing at and that she should be ashamed of her behaviour " I want to sit down with my chips and you were in my way" is all she said.

disgraceful.

I think that really shows the difference of visitors each park gives off. Like Drayton do 4 for £75 and all the bad 1’s turn up and on the other hand Paulton’s charge a premium price for a premium product.

Not much, but there had been more wooden fences built around the Priates Adventure building (back door also ajar). From the Thomas train you can see they have improved a path that is currently closed off…

Sorry you have had such experiences. It has been touched on by others, including myself, at other times.

In my opinion this is something that the park can sort pretty easily and in a low key way. Signs detailing that abuse of ride operatives won't be tolerated, signage regarding queue jumping, security walking up a lenghty queue so being very visible to lots of people, they all create an atmosphere of what behaviours are acceptable.

And whilst it may look to target those with questionable behaviours it also creates a feeling of safety for everyone else. As deathvalleydemon's post clearly illustrates, it doesn't take much to ruin a day or make return visits less likely.
