What's new

2026: General Discussion

Do we think this season and into closed season Drayton Manor is gonna have a major clean up anf refurb throughtout before moving onto more projects

There's definitely a lot going on in the park at the moment. It feels as though it's all happened at once too, which is presumably something to do with the new management. Hopefully all these changes will benefit the park in the long run.

I'm surprised we haven't heard much about the Halloween and Christmas events this year. Maybe they're going to tone them down a bit compared with last year (especially the Christmas event) in order to focus on the work currently taking place around the park.
Whilst I did love having all the bigger rides open at Christmas with almost no queues, if it results in the following season's ride availability being as poor as it has been this year, I think they should just go back to how they were previously handling the event.

Halloween has a lot of info on the website, will likely see marketing pop up around late August/sept time

Halloweens lineup is out now

To not have the twinkle express train on is a travesty, its the best part of the christmas event for me...kids are gutted because its our yearly thing, go and stay in the hotel, cannot justify the price of it this year at all.

I was surprised they were not doing the twinkle express. I have to agree, whilst not surprised on the scaling back of the event, I thought this would survive the cull. We are local so looking at going to the panto. Hopefully this year will not have such a big impact on the main season next year. It is very noticeable that the park whilst been busy at times, has been quieter overall this season but ops have improved on the occasion I have been this season. Looking to go in September and for the fireworks.
