The entrance is an eye opener with the carousel at the start and all the Thomas characters in there for photo opportunity. It has a shop selling Thomas toys and even a Thomas and friends vending machine. As off 2023 it has the figures from James and the red balloon there and the Thomas and James benches from the old food area near Harolds heli tours. I believe there's also a thomas ride along in there near the vending machine but I could be wrong. It also leads to the bar area
 
The entrance foyer is also decorated for seasonal events.
Over Christmas it has a large christmas tree / decorative installation :)

They also decorate the outside of the entrance with lights / banners / bunting - depending on the event.

I didn't know that. Do they still have the road train running at Christmas

Ah okay thank you. I wonder if they will be any changes with the hotel over the years
 
Some festive decorations including a lovely archway in the lobby. The giant tree isn't there this time though

Also, bonus Thomas details on the first floor as I was up there.
