Future Rides and Attraction Ideas

When I was in the museum I got talking to other adults who were explaining to there kids what was the ride like and how much they missed it. I went on pirate adventure 3 years before I went on the Florida pirates of the Caribbean and before all the pirates were upgraded you couldn’t tell the difference.
Like Drayton really got to do a big dark ride as they got big competition next year with Paulton’s new area, Chessington’s Paw patrol area and Alton Towers rumoured Bluey coaster.

I would suggest to Drayton not to try and compete with Towers, as weaker as Tpwers it still a major park, its the reason the thrill rides didn't work for Drayton.
A Dark Ride would be a good addition is it ironic that we have 2 Mack Rides Boat Rides in the UK SBNO.
Actually noticed recently Alton Towers and Drayton Manor share a few of ride models i.e. Vekoma Madhouse, Intamin Rapids, Zamperla Rock n Tug, even as stated Mack Rides Boat ride.
But unless this also includes a Sit down drop tower I doubt they will get more guests thought the door with just a re-theme of the haunting and there Junior Boomerang.
There is an expectation of new rides and attractions at parks every year, it's not realistic but we have been lucky over the last few years. Hopefully we will see frontier falls finished properly and a new attraction next year along with zoo works.
I would love to see more dark rides for days when the weather is not so good. I do wonder what the plans are for the 4d cinema.

With the return to the classic Thomas we all know . A possible Thomas expansion for the 20th anniversary in 2027/2028 would be a classic Thomas theme
A dark ride is a cool idea and I feel a Thomas dark ride would be a nice addition. Maybe time to get rid of the Sodor classic cars . I am shocked the ride has lasted this long . The land being used for a dark ride could easily boost park attendance .
The Sodor windmill merry go round is a ride that was in Thomas land USA but not at Drayton I could see that being added as well in update.
Along with some stage show for the area . I think this would make a good expansion .

I do think the looping group will have a big decision to do in 2027 as it be there 1st time they got to renew the contract as some of them rides will be 20 years old. They may need to be replaced with a newer version or add more rides based on the trains.

I do think the team behind the water show will be involved in the pirate adventure re-theme as they worked on ride effects before.

Funny thing is, Skyflyer rides ARE actually family thrill rides.
I went on the original DM Skyflyer back in 1989 - I was 11, my brother was 10. We both were under 12 and thouroughly enjoyed it.

It's hard to say what family thrill is these days. My kids are 8 and 6, 1.3m and 1.2m. They both love The Wave and have been on Mandrill Mayhem and the coasters at Disneyland Paris, so they've now completely outgrown Thomas Land. They enjoy Thor, Accelerator and Gold Rush, but keep asking when the next ride they 'can go upside down on' is being built. So much so we've had to buy Merlin Passes. I know everyone is different but things such as Skyflyer would definitely entice a lot of kids up to the age of 12!
