River Rapids

Didn't manage to get any photos, but while on the train on Saturday, it looks like they're building some sort of platform on the opposite bank from the boat scene which I assume will be manned by a staff member (like at Alton Towers).

I also noticed there are new speakers around the course but no cameras as of yet.
 
Did you film a vlog? I think Adventure Cove is the best themed area in any uk park this year ( I class David Walliams world and Tornado Springs as last years projects) Like the looping group could have just painted the shockwave building and reopened the rapids and many guests would have been happy but they also retheming the diner, Maelstrom had a new roof and buildings repaint, Stormforce 10 is a work in process so they been painting and adding stuff when the park been closed, the play ground is now finished just fencing left to put up and after the wave swinger finished and opened I heard they gonna close Air Race temporary to paint and theme it better to the area ready for the 6 weeks holidays.

I didn't Film a vlog no but a video will be out tonight covering all the changes that have happened which is almost half an hour long - by the way what have they added to storm force lately - I'll have a look next time! I do hope the rest of the area looks as good as the rapids
 
Hey everyone - I've just posted a brand new update from Adventure Cove. This is another new update from the new area which includes work on Tidal Towers, Wave Swinger and The Adventure Cove River Rapids attraction including testing footage, announcement coverages and providing tonnes of updates throughout a 30 minute blockbuster episode

I totally understand that rides are not only safe but are seen to be safe. I've got a little lad who ate all his vegetables so that he'd be tall enough for the water rides this year...it worked too! But then the heights have been bumped upwards. He loved them at WMSP, not hurt by the fact we could go round the log flume 3 times as no one else wanted to come on, but it will be a disappointment if there isn't a sub 1.3 m option.

I think that there will probably be no unaccompanied minors option.
 
Well the Rapids at other parks:
Alton Towers
You must be at least 1.1 metres tall to ride The Congo River Rapids.
Riders between 1.1m - 1.3m must ride with an adult (16+)
Thorpe Park
Enjoy a ride down the Island's rapid river! Minimum height accompanied by an adult 1.1m. Minimum height unaccompanied by an adult 1.3m. In addition, each boat must have an accompanying adult aged 18+.
Legoland
  • You must be a minimum of 1.1m to ride
  • You must be a minimum of 1.3m to ride without being accompanied by a responsible person at least 16 years of age
