The Haunting

Not directly Haunting related, but I recently managed to find a music library that had all of the tracks that it's sister, ride Verlies Des Grauen (Dungeon of Horror) at Belantis in Germany uses! So, with some free time, I decided to recreate the soundtrack! A near 1 on 1 copy.

So, enjoy the music of The Dungeon of Horror everyone!

I didn’t realise how much sampling / stock music was used in the original, was used effectively though. The other example I know of is the choir in the Chapel which was used in the London Dungeon too.

Wow! Just wow!! Look how nice the queue used to be! And the Institute Lorry! Looked loads better in grey!

Funny how the least changed scene is the Corridor. That's practically identical to how it was in 1996 apart from the newer UV lights and the additional skeleton at the end!

Love how clean the library used to look aswell! Quite eerie personally, in a good way! I do miss seeing the Vicar Portrait without the projection.

The chapel looked loads better with the gravestone cross! You can actually see the other side XD. Bet the talking skull was pretty cool too!

Wonderful photos though! It really did look phenomenal when it opened! Absolutely wonderful! These made my day!

It’s very strange seeing how visible the facade is in its earlier years, so much scenic detail on it, looked very authentic and slightly cartoony in ways which is interesting.

The IMR lorry looked really cool and sleek when it was in that colour scheme with the hazard stripes, looked like it had much more of a presence in the area than the current version. The institute logo replacing ERF’s is such a nice detail.

Nothing really stopping the ride from looking this great again. I suspect it would be an expensive undertaking but I’m sure most people would agree it would be 100% worth it!
What do you guys think the park will do for its 30th anniversary?
Nothing, probably.
