It was a really nice addition to the area. The airport has always fit in quite nicely but the new sign just doesn't look as good as the old one. It's a shame they removed it to be honest.

I hope for Thomas’s 80th anniversary next year they spend the money on the buildings that were installed in 2007/08 as they in a bad state now. It all depends on when the licence is up for renewal in 2027/28.
I hope they renew, it brings loads of people to the park.
I’m sure they will renew as it’s still the main draw to the park but the flat rides could be going to the end of there life some may need replacing.
Wait what? Since when was the franchise ending and where have you seen this?
It's all over the place with the fandom and leaks, there's a chance it may come back but very low with all engines go ending this year

Thomas as an franchise will still exist when the series ends.
ThomasLand survived the change from the old series to AEG, so it can happen again.
It's the franchise tied to the land, not the series so it's not a concern
Many TV franchises are going through a difficult period with advertising being down. Currently speculation about a number of franchises being cancelled, notably doctor who for one. As Elise said, the thomasland is likely to continue here.
Thomas is very popular here. I think it will continue and there will be new series in the future with netflix backing it in the USA.

And even if there wasn't amy new series there will be the existing ones repeated ad infinitum. It may actually be beneficial. I don't thing the latest imagining had many fans amongst those who would be buying tickets (parents). They will be a preference Isuspect for the pre-aeg versions of characters.
Older age group IPs tend to rely more on public opinion, pop culture, trends etc.
Star wars and Marvel , for instance, are experiencing fatigue at the moment due to the declining quality of the film and streaming service output. Perhaps one of the many reasons the Galactic star cruiser hotel at DIsney world (alongside prices and running costs of course) was a failure. It's all relative though, they are still 'strong' brands, although the extent of their popularity does matter when it comes to massive investment.
That being said, I certainly don't see the Thomas or 'Thomas land' brand losing strength, let alone dying anytime soon. It's strength is the fact its kid focused, and nails the curiosity of young kids towards things like trains and railways. Which makes it a very stable, established and durable IP. and not as exposed to changing cultural trends in the same way as other IPs might be. It might seem intuitive that the series would be exclusively popular among young boys, but its also surprisingly popular among young girls too these days , too, according to what the TV figures on Thomas and friends say at least. Point being; it's a very strong, universally popular, and durable IP, despite the current AEG situation. And the series has over 500 episodes, so as the posters above say

Been round the museum I noticed that they wanted a bigger shop by the Terence driving school in 2017
So went with a reduced size.Well they did open 1 but was much smaller.
The Bryan’s original plan was to use the pirate adventure building for a Thomas land inside entertainment/meet and greet area with maybe a dark ride.
With maybe the entrance to the pirate building been inside the shop as originally that was the exit to the ride.

I think we won’t see any new attractions for Thomas Land to 2028 when it’s 20 years old. I can’t see a dark ride opening in Thomas land but would love a meet and greet area to meet the engines.
@Themeparksandy1981 it would be difficult for Drayton Manor to set up a meet and greet with vehicle based characters. It’s not like you can shake their hands. What Drayton Manor could do however is build an area themed to the Trains Shed where you can go to see and have your photo taken with the individual Trains.
