Water World - Looping Group

Must admit, I did not see this one coming.

It may appear on the passes next year - but I don't see that happening for a short while yet.
There are issues to resolve with Waterworld at the moment - particularly concerns around guest safety since the unfortunate incident the other week.

I wonder if this is part of a strategic plan, it took them 12 months to come to fruition (based on press release). They are also acquiring parks in France, and there is a comment about the region, so possible further acquisitions in the future. Waterworld is a good fit for Looping if you look at their portfolio of European parks. Information available on their website

This has to be a long term plan to strengthen the platinum pass.
Unless you regularly visit WMSP it’s just not worthwhile .. we were gonna downgrade to gold but if this gets added we probably would keep at platinum

I looked at the annual pass at waterworld and the unlimited pass is £150. I think they may offer a Midlands pass for all attractions, maybe £250 for three attractions. Can't see them including it at the current price point. Purely speculating but imagine it would be cheaper than merlin

I don't know why not, its not as if the amount of days in the year increases by 50% as well.

I thought that the origianl raison d'etre of Looping was to buy low - you can see why Waterworld may be a motivated seller right now - invest and sell high. One would wonder whether their is a change and a desire to keep hold and profit that way. It would be interesting to see how they would invest in Waterworld.

I was working on basis that gold pass is £99 (ignoring renewal discount), platinum pass is £175. then you add on £150 for waterworld pass it would work out to be £325, so an appealing rate would be £250 for all three attractions. It would not appeal to everyone and pricing it higher would make it uncompetitive in my opinion. Given Looping relatively recent push in expanding, it is a good fit for the group as they own a number of water parks/attractions, although not in the UK this will be a good offering. It is not something I would personally be interested in as safari park I would only be interested in going once a year at most.
