What's new

Pirate Adventure

At the auction they did say they were looking at selling the PA system as it was still in the ride but I’m sure the company who installed the system around the park could be brought in to install a new system and digital the sound track.
I do think it will be a mixture of screens and set pieces.
There got to be lots of pirates still in the ride in storage as at the auction they only sold the signage and broken bits.
@Themeparksandy1981 it’s great that the sale of Pirate Adventure’s Ride System didn’t happen. I look forward to Pirate Adventure returning next Year (2026) or the following Year 2027). If Pirate Adventure does return next Year it’ll be a great asset to the U.K Theme Park Season of 2026. There’s already some epic rides confirmed to be opening within Our Country next Year (2026).

Got some information about Pirate Adventure the building has been looked over and there is still some theming on there.

Also it was mentioned it would be cheaper to reopen Pirate then build a brand new attraction due to concrete underneath being expensive to remove. That's all the info got but potential it may return at some point

Who told you this? With the track record with downtime the coasters have had this year and the low thought put of the flat rides they really need a new stand out ride.

Been today and notice more and more changes to this site every time I go become sort of a habit of looking around the building there is something different every time

Was wondering is Pirate Adventure Ride connected to the Burger Kitchen vire a workers door having eaten in there Realised how cool the pirate aesthetic is upstairs

My era was 1985-1994. I have no recollection of this ride! What did I do wrong? Was it broken? Was it too busy? Was I too old? I visited DM every year during that period (sometimes more than once) yet I have no memory of it.

I've watched vids on youtube to try and jog my memory and still nothing.

Maybe they should re-open it as a walkthrough museum ride? Maybe install large screens showing pics and videos of that ride as it once was. I assume there was music playing originally? If so, play that as peeps walk around. :-)

May have walked past it as it was one of those entrances you could walk past if you weren't looking for it

They put the Pirate Bench and Stocks back in front that wasn't there earlier last month, always been curious why the ride sign was never taken down
No idea, but I'm not complaining. I adore the sign, it's so iconic with lots of charm, and a 3D sign is rare in the UK industry nowadays sadly. Would love them to keep it and restore/repaint it, if it ever reopens or come back in some form that is.

@Joe I was going to post the exact same comment. I didn’t as I thought I was going mad. I’m glad that I haven’t gone crazy and the statue and stocks haven’t been outside of Pirate Adventure for the entire year. If I’m remembering correctly both the statue and stocks have spent the year in Frontier Falls outside of the 4D Cinema/Museum.

Personally I see the return of the statue and stocks to their usual location as another sign that Pirate Adventure is returning to operation in the new Year (2026).

They have been put back to the usual location because the Museum is not returning for 2026. The 75th Anniversary Museum was for the 2025 season.

Returning the photo op back to their original location keeps them in the area suited for them next to Jolly Buccaneer and does not indicate anything else at this time

2026 will likely not have any major investments as they still have to finish Frontier Falls & see return in investment on that project :) (And if such a large investment was to return, they would have been teasing by now)
