Thomas, Rosie and Percy Engine Tours (Sodor Railway)

Haa Rosie been seen at all this season I have seen Percy and Thomas run but no Percy.

Can the locomotives double head a train wouldn't of it been nice if they were real steam engines with coal and water.

We saw Percy on Monday but Percy was causing trouble and threw a strop on the track according to Mrs kindly staff. It was interesting watching the mechanics trying to get the mini fork lift crane machine onto the tracks as they had to remove the fencing.

Wonder if they should consider extending the thomas railway and getting a few more engines like Duck, Oliver or Stepney could be cool to see on the line
Yeah, that would be nice. I did one time thought about what if Thomas, Percy and Rosie's tours had a tender engine to join the tank engines. The three tender engines I thought of were James, Emily and Molly.

Can it run all 3 trains never seen it just Rosie and Percy before
They couldn’t as let’s say Thomas is loading 1 end and Percy at the other then Rosie will have to wait near the pirate adventure building to the zoo train has loaded and left then Rosie moves to the zoo station while the zoo train waiting for the Thomas land train to move to where Rosie was waiting and then the zoo train can continue into Thomas land.
It will take so much longer and guests not been happy waiting at the station and while on the train.

It seems Rosie and Percy change with each other no sign of Percy now.

Why aren't Percy or Rosie decorated like Thomas is during events

Its a bit difficult with an IP, it all needs to be approved by the IP holder so it may not be in Drayton's power to do so :)

So I found the 2 different Thomas engines. So the first one is the 2008 one who was a darker blue and had a gray coupling and grey lamp irons and here's a pictureView attachment 5409
And then there's the 2015 (I believe) thomas who was a lighter blue and had a red and black coupling and the correct black lamp ironsView attachment 5410
Both engines are still at the park but supposedly the 2008 one is in a maintenance and the newer one is the one in operation
I can confirm both are still being used

Does anyone when the rights to Thomas land expire? When it came to fruition it was British owned - fast forward and it's now American owned.

I grew up with Thomas (and Ringo Starr) It's part of my childhood. How long do we have left before the Americans extort the French and we end up losing it because the French refuse to pay.

Serious question. :)

The contract up in 2027 and the Bryan’s signed the last 1 in 2017. With it been 20 years old in 2028 the looping group have get to decide to renew the contract and spend the money on the original side of Thomas land as some of the buildings and rides need some TLC. Really need more rides based on the engines.

So, in other words 2 or 3 years.

Looping won't pay. They wont have the funds. Rights to stuff like this cost many millions.

DM's profits last year were 800k after tax, and they've been sliding for the last few years.

:(

I believe they may consider a renewal should the IP be profitable and popular still when the discussion comes up. Time will tell, but its definately a more successful IP than David Walliams at Towers.

I don't know the exact costings or insides and outs for this sort of thing, so can't go into specifics (Even if I did know those numbers, I wouldn't be allowed to)

I do know IP' agreements tend to be 5,10 or 15 years though at a time :)
