The Haunting

They also got rid of all the ivy that was growing all over the Lorry Vehicle!

Hopefully this is a sign of TLC and that The Haunting is in good hands. Would be really sad if they do eventually retheme it, especially considering that the ride will be celebrating it's 30th anniversary next year!

At this point, I think it's became too much of a cult classic and park icon (probably their most iconic non thrill ride) to be rethemed. I think it's secluded enough to be it's own sort of area, something like "Drayton Parish Area" would be good!

The ride does definitely needs work and enhancements, but a retheme isn't the answer personally.

Hope to see more work like this done more frequently in the future!

They should increase the height limit or put age limit on the Haunting many times I have seen kids start crying in the 3rd Preshow with the painting

As far as "restricting" the ride due to being scary - that is more of a case of using judgement as every child is different. Some 12 year olds will burst into tears at something scary but a 5 year old could love that exact same thing (As shown both at themeparks but also with my scareacting) - You can only really restrict so much before it becomes the responsibility of the guests/parents to know their own selves what they are able to enjoy on a "scare" or intensity level.

Ivy removal is good to see - that stuff as nice as it is, can become damaging to a surface overtime (And pull down and cause problems etc)

Was just thinking with the pirate adventure building been 35 years old and it’s falling a part and needs replacing with the Haunting the same with the building been untouched in 30 years maybe that frontage is have to be all replaced soon. Won’t be hard to remove it all and replace with wood and could be themed to a haunted Motel.

I believe most of the facade is made of fiberglass which can last a good amount of time the Nemesis creature is a good example and that's very complex. It's wood rot that you need to look out for, e.g windows and banisters which are basically disintegrating at the minute. I'm sure it would be cheaper to refurbish the current facade than to demolish it and build something new.

Lets not continue using wood panelling for everything... Drayton does seem to like wood panelling lately.
The difference is the Wild West is all wooden buildings. If they do want to theme it into the area.
The easiest thing they could do is have a projector of the vicar projector onto the picture.
