Looking at the ride itself as it’s been drained of water and the pumps are in storage with the motors in maintenance I doubt the ride will need much to get it working again. The buildings on the other hand need TLC badly
It's probably a good sign the pumps were removed and stored as if they had been left off in the elements for the last 3 years they would probably have seized by now.

I have to admit I was a little worried about Loopings Group buying DMP as personally I've found West Midlands Safari park a bit crap since Loopings took over, especially their covid measures. By far the worst I've encountered anywhere! That said I've never visited Pleasurewood Hills and have recently seen a number of vlogs and Loopings have done a really good job with Pleasurewood Hills which gives me hope for DMP. Looking at what they've done with the old rides there I have no doubt they will invest into reopening Splash Canyon!! Cannot wait for it to reopen!!

It’s sad seeing it in that state but it seems to be mostly cosmetic and shouldn’t be too difficult to sort out. I hope Looping Group invest in it as it’s a big draw for the park, it’s a ride the whole family can enjoy. Good that they removed the pumps and put them into storage, means they should still be in good condition and they’ll be able to install them again with minimal difficulty.

I really hope this happens, it's a great ride and always popular and exactly what Drayton needs especially in the summer.
I'm pretty confident it will return. It would be so expensive to remove compared to the cost of revamping it, and it's a major family attraction which seems to be the direction the park has been heading for the last 5 years. Who knows what direction Looping will take the park now though...

I think the big difference in all of this is that the ride was never removed from the map and since the accident the ride been listed as currently unavailable. The water pumps could be offsite now getting them ready for the new season and the motors for the turntable,Lift hill etc were stored in the maintenance area of the park. Replacing the rotten wood, getting the boats H&S ready and a better CCTV system with Tannoy fitted all around the ride. I wonder if the 3 theming buildings will be removed?

Splash canyon has been taken off of the website so what this means for the future of the ride and the are is unknown Will it be added back or will it be removed from the park
